I'm Alex, and Gaia Athens is a family project close to my heart.
My parents and I renovated this building ourselves. They've spent their lives in construction, and every corner here has passed through our hands. My mother, who has always had the soul of a restaurateur, now prepares our breakfast pies and desserts each morning using fresh ingredients from the local market.
We're a small team, but we care deeply about what we do. When you stay with us, you'll always find someone here to help, honestly, warmly, and wholeheartedly.
This building once belonged to someone who changed my life. A mentor who believed in me and helped me become who I am. She's no longer here, but Gaia is my tribute to her. I hope I'm making her proud.

Check-in starts at 15:00, and check-out is by 11:00. If your room is ready earlier, you're welcome to check in ahead of time. Just let us know your expected arrival.
Yes, breakfast is included. We serve a homemade Greek breakfast, with family-made pies and desserts prepared in-house using ingredients from the local market. Breakfast is served 08:00 to 10:00. A breakfast box is available upon request for early departures.
Street parking is free from 21:00 to 09:00. During the day, short-term parking (up to 2 hours) is available for about €1 per hour through the MyAthensPass app. For secure 24-hour parking, we recommend the closed garage at Sarri 29-30, currently priced at €15/day for standard cars and €20/day for SUVs.
Yes, private transfer services are available. Airport to Hotel: €45. Rafina Port to Hotel: €45. Hotel to Piraeus Port: €25. Piraeus Port to Hotel: €30.
From the Airport: Take Metro Line 3 (Blue) to Monastiraki Station (direct line), then walk 7 minutes. From Piraeus Port: Take Metro Line 1 (Green) to Thissio Station, then walk 5 minutes. After midnight: Take Bus X95 from the airport to Syntagma, then walk 15 minutes or take a short taxi.
Yes, Psirri is one of Athens' most vibrant and tourist-friendly neighborhoods. It's well-lit, full of cafes, bars, and restaurants, and popular with both locals and visitors. We recommend normal city precautions, but our guests consistently feel safe.
